Volunteer to serve meals at the
Bloomington Event Center/Knights of Columbus on American Blvd.
Please contact: Gaylord May @ 952-457-6744
The following is a summary of duties:
This is all done at the Bloomington Event Center/Knights of Columbus hall on American Blvd.
When you arrive, set the tables with table covering, placemats, napkins, silverware, glasses, coffee cups, salt and pepper shakers, and creamers and sugars.
If this is a buffet, bring out chafing dishes.
Make salads and scoop ice cream if they are on the menu. This is done in the morning.
Make sure there is dressing to put on salads. Ice cream is put back into freezer until served.
Serve the food. After served, pick up the dinner plates since most of the time there is dessert and a program. There will be an area to clean the plates for washing.
After the plates are cleared, serve the dessert if needed. When that is done, the volunteers can eat.
After the group has left, clear everything off the tables so it looks like it did when you started. Make sure the dishes are all washed and the coffee pots are rinsed.
This is about a 4 hour duty.
