Bocce Ball - Fri
We play a schedule where each team will play the others twice. When we get to that point there is a champion team . Next we have a two man tournament set up among guys who sign up. This takes another two weeks and we are done before Labor Day. We will field 12 teams. Basically there are 6 men assigned to each team and 4 men from each team play in a game and we alternate so everyone gets to play. It is set up that way so if some one cannot make it to the park for some reason we have a complete team ready to compete.
We always welcome new players. The game is easy to learn and not that difficult to play so physical problems should not be troublesome.

Bloomington Horseshoe Club - Wed
The Bloomington Horseshoe Club competes on Wednesday nights starting at 7 pm. The season runs from May thru August. We pitch at Valley View park (91st and Clinton) just south of the swimming pool.
We have team play coupled with individual competition one on one. Each team consists of 3 or 4 or 5 pitchers. A minimum of 3 pitchers is needed each week. We pitch 50 shoes per game (to allow us to keep ringer percentages). A handicap system is used to equalize the individual competitions.
Pitchers usually use their own horseshoes but the club has horseshoes to use for the beginning pitcher. Ringer percentages range from 2% to around 20%. The league is open to men and women.
